The Design & Engineering Support Program (DESP) was established to develop and administer a multiple award indefinite delivery / indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract for providing a broad range of engineering services in support of any system or subsystem within the Air Force and other Department of Defense agencies. The engineering services are to support specific objectives which focus on improving system life cycle cost, operational life, performance, sustainment including maintainability & support, and safety & environmental friendliness. These engineering services efforts are in the areas of new design, technical documentation, diminishing material and manufacturing sources, environmental improvement issues, reliability, productivity, efficiency, and cost saving.
